It is located right after the turbo on the turbo outlet pipe. Yes, it is difficult to replace.

Accessibility is rough. After treatment injector and oxygen sensor is mounted on this section. Coolant needs to be drained. Coolant should be vacuum filled in these engines to prevent air pockets from getting formed. The pipe is bolted to the turbo housing with several bolts, and like any exhaust related fasteners they tend to seize up which means you need a torch to heat them, or drill out and retap broken bolts. Not a good time. Why are you replacing it?

Yeah that sound like some work beyond my capabilities. I've put over 6000 into this truck already. Egr cooler, valve, Dpf bake. The truck wont do passive regens. Light comes on while I'm on the highway and will start blinking with alrm if i dont stop and do parked regen. Every 400 miles roughly. Connected my truck to jpro and it only has a code for "turbo charger outlet pressure above desired- check exhaust back pressure valve"what do you think.

Turbo charger outlet pressure is basically your exhaust back pressure. When the truck isn't doing regens the exhaust will plug up and cause this code. When you do a DPF bake you also need to remove and clean the DOC, preDOC and after treatment injector. Has any of that been done lately?

As heavyd mentioned the turbo outlet psi code is common when dpf is plugged. Does not mean the exhaust valve is faulty. I've experienced some trucks have the clutch switch or brake switch faulty or out of adjustment, not allowing a passive regen. Best thing to do is hook up a scan tool, and monitor these signals along with all regen inhibitors.

Sorry, I don't have access to pricing. I don't get into giving prices either because it just starts fights and arguments.

    pushbroom and spsauerland Thank this.
