Any ideas why my KTA 19 holds it revs for a few seconds before returning to idle? When changing gears etc you have to wait before changing some time (bout 3 seconds) for revs to drop. Just another issue with this old project I'm trying to iron out!!

Throttle linkages stiff? Linkage return springs not enough tension?

Linkages are good. Still plays up if I operate the linkage on the side of the pump by hand.

Air in fuel supply line will do that with PT pumps. Look for a damp or rubbed spot on supple lines. Install a sight glass between pump and fuel line.

Australia :) The KTA is in an old W model that I am trying to get back on the road. There are very few trucks over here running KTA's and its sure to turn plenty of heads!!

There's a C501 here with a KTA 600 hauling double and triple roadtrains. He's taken off the jacket water aftercooler and air-to-air aftercooled it.
I used to drive a W series with a K19 hauling triple nickel concentrate tankers in WA back in the '80s.
