Is there much of a call for drivers in Sweden? Does anyone know how it is compared to the US? As far as laws, wages, etc go.

In Norway there are need for ca.3000/4000 drivers. Norway has the best wages in Europe, up to 410$ a day can a driver get..Lokix Thanks this. -

Wow another one from Norway.
And with almost the same user name also
We have currently 3-4 persons who drive for the same firm as me who lives in Sweden, because of the costs in Norway -
Im a trucker in Norway and its not as good as it sounds. The wages are not that good anyway cause the cost of living is very high. Fees and taxes have gone all crazy here. Polish truckers and other truckers from the east/russia etc is taking over alot of the driving here. Many companies hire those and pays them much less which makes the need of norwegian truckers less. I guess a normal pay would be like $300-350 per day unless you are paid by commission which usually sucks! And don't forget that that the gov wants between 30-50% in taxes every month. The roads here are tiny and lots of curves, almost no truck stops, no place to have your break, small sleepers etc. The EU is screwing up the whole trucking industry in this country and it doesn't look good!! So think twice
Good luck anywayhalfgear Thanks this. -
