Okay, I'm no mechanic and if this is a stupid suggestion I own it:
Is it possible that the oiler is bent or damaged in some fashion that the piston is not getting lubricated?
3406e keeps frying one cylinder

We replaced it with a new one the second go round, we replaced all of them and checked them each and every time we have had it apart.

We put a different block in it this last time. We also cleaned and checked everything and it still did it. I am thinking it has to be the tune or something since there's a different sound to it at idle and it has a slight hesitation in the motor when it's pulling, guessing number 5 cylinder is the culprit.

Yup it does sound like an piston oiler issue. Timing could be too advanced as well. Has rod length been checked?
-
They are all brand new cat rods, new Pistons, new liners, reman block and crank. New head and all new oilers, so it is not an oiler. It's been the same cylinder every time with the old and new block, with old and new oilers and injectors. Has to be the end at this point screwing something up. Gonna put back together and try out 550 5ek test ecm on it.
-
Then it's the program.. Pushing too much fuel or timing.

I'm running the 1LW 550 BS file on my stock 5EK w/(58's) with the upgraded B/W turbo. I know my block weaknesses and limitations. This set up works perfectly for me.
