Wow. sounds like a bad "Where" and "When". "What" doesn't sound too good either. Crazy crap. Keep us posted.

I just got my freaking truck back a couple weeks ago.
Last year I brought my truck in for a check engine light and PM and left the dealership with fuel spraying everywhere and my clutch failed needing to be replaced.
This year I bring in my truck to a different dealer for a check engine light and PM and within a couple weeks my engine blows up.
Notice how that works?
I'm starting to think it's not a coincidence... -
That sucks man. The downtime sucks, but thank God that thing is under warranty if it needs a rebuild.
-
@freightwipper ... I explicitly remember you stating that a new truck is better than a used one because of warranty... Well warranty or not you're getting first-hand experience that a truck breaking down no matter what it is can put a serious Dent into your pocketbook

I had nearly $3k in revenue lined in for the next three days, lost out on that and having to PAY $400 to get my load load recovered.
Instead of earning $2k+ next week which is normal I'm going to have to pay $1100 and that's just if I'm off one week.
At minimum i see this breakdown costing me a swing of at least $5000
Warranty is great and all but I got a new truck because i wanted to avoid things like this happening. I get all trucks break down but still this is silly.duddie Thanks this. -
...and if Freightliner is reading, get away from CANBUS already!

I was all for new trucks because my experience with used company freightshakers was breaking down and needing to be towed all the time. Reading horror stories of used trucks breaking down endlessly that end up costing more than a new truck.
Even remember reading Sadwar leasing a used truck that gave him big problems.
I HATE breakdowns! Sooo I went with a new truck and still there's no escape and yes it does cost me.drvrtech77 Thanks this. -

Anyways I agree with you...
Newer $150,000 trucks shouldn't be breaking down the amount they are. It's sorry.
Even a 30,000 mile clutch goes out.
It's redicuous
