Hi,
This is my first job opportunity that has anything to do with trucking. I got hired as a agent but no matter what i try to do to book loads, all rates are either too cheap or not worth the time. What am I doing wrong as an agent? Whats the best way to search for good opportunities? I Haven't tried going to local shippers, but would that help? And if I do in what way do I take this approach? I have a couple of Loading board sites but nothing seems to work. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In advance
New to the broker business but having trouble

You mean to say that the shipper or customer is paying little on the load?

You need direct customers.
You are doing what 10,000 other so called agents are doing. All the freight you are seeing has been cut 2 or three times.
Oh, direct customers are easy, your only competing with all the big boys and their professional marketing teams.
Why should a carrier go to you when he can go one step up the chain for more money.TX-Truck Thanks this. -
Dive in without limiting thoughts. Most folks are feaful to provide any real information with a constant dread of loosing customers. Learn what does not work quickly and teach yourself.

You are starting in a very tough market. More freight went out to bid this year than we have seen in past years. Non-asset brokers are feeling the tightest pinch.
