I think it was the 1st of May
MachoCyclone Thanks this. -
I love that weigh my truck app.
On another note, I have managed between 9.5 and 10 mpg on this trip. I'm at 78000 gross. I have kept it at a steady 55mph. My mind is blown. I'm going fron Greeley, Co to gainesville, florida. I have been on i70 most of the way but this average has stayed steady for a thousand miles. I don't know if they did something in the shop that improved it or if it's the 55mph or if it's summer fuel mixtures, but I'm happy. -
I'm gonna say a combination of all the above. I do love summer blends.
kanidana Thanks this. -
Its also an average downhill west to east from the rockies to the south east.

So, I am unsuccessful here compared to many of you. I'm making between 500 and 750 per week. I could use some advice. I'd love to see how you successful guys manage your trips and your decision making. I want to make sure that it's not something I'm doing that keeps me making as much as a driver in training at Werner.
First, I'd like to see what you guys would have done when you first got the load I'm currently under. This load was a JBS load that picked up Thursday night at midnight. It's a two stopper going to Gainesville, Florida first stop delivering Monday morning. I will have to sit 24 hours before delivery on first stop. Second stop is 300 miles away in Deerfield Beach florida for Tuesday afternoon 1500. That's another 24 hours of sitting. Would you have just thrown away the 2000 miles and diverted to Sapulpa from Greeley, CO and tried to get a swap there? I've done 41's two days in a row and was informed that I'll most likely be delivering. Incidentally this is my only trip for the week so fixed expenses are coming out of this trip. I expect to make 500 dollars and I doubt I'll be able to fit another trip in before the next pay period. I'd have to pick up something Tuesday night that delivers by Thursday and I doubt that is going to happen out of Florida.
Could one of you successful people take the time to layout a typical week? How many 41's etc? I've got to try and get proactive on this thing because it's got to be either me doing something wrong or Sapulpa's planners putting me on a #### list. I know Steel is getting a new truck so he'll be paying the same thing I'm paying and there's no way he would do that unless he's knows how to make money under similar costs. I think the only extra I pay is an extra 5 cents a mile on maintenance which obviously makes me 150 less on 3000 miles. CRXDC stated a typical 1200 dollar paycheck. That minus 150 1050....I'm making 500 to 750. Huge difference.
I await eagerly any and all advice and highly appreciate it as well. I should have attempted to ask these specific questions long ago. -
They need to get some chairs put I. At the washer dryers .

If someone is looking to make a career switch, life change, etc then one should do their homework. Period. If anyone can't do something that simple, then I don't see how one can commit to running a business, as that's even more effort.
I don't apologize for sounding like an ###, but that's how I feel. The majority of those that fail here and any lease program is they simply don't commit.MachoCyclone, Rookietrucker89, Kamkor and 1 other person Thank this. -
MachoCyclone and crxdc Thank this.

Looks like a driver was marking his territory at the Adel Truck stop in Adel, GA. I believe the standard response is to answer his challenge by leaving a bag of poop in the same spot.
