I wish I was getting those miles. 2200, 2300, 2500, and 1500 miles for this week.

At big g?
What do you consider slow? -
1500 miles for this week seems slow
-
If so then that is your problem...
I go home every other weekend for 3 days..
On my way to Connecticut now and will have nearly 3400 Monday morning when I deliver.
I usually run over 5300 for 11 days out and 3 days off. -
No I haven't taken hometime yet. This upcoming Tuesday will be my first month here. I spent all day Wednesday at the 840 shop and I didn't get a load yesterday. I wasn't the only Driver that didn't get a load yesterday. I'm just chalking it up as a bad week

well today I was again offered a new kw to move into ( was offered one about a month ago and declined it )
the current kw i have is 1 of a handful of paccar motor kw we have in the fleet and most repairs require it going to the dealer
I inquired about a newer volvo instead but none are avail atm and when 1 would be avail is unknown so i bit the bullet and accepted the new kw (trk 1933)
This truck is equipped with the bendix wingman fusion
Won't get to roll till tommorow with new truck so we will see how well this system works together. outward facing camera w/ radar
I will give an honest opinion of how this system works once I get some miles under my belt with it.
I was unimpressed with the Onguard system I had used in the past with Crete
I have no issues with new technology as long as it works like it is supposed to. -
I can remember one time back in January when freight was slow around 840, there were MANY drivers waiting for a load..my simple response to my DM was I don't care what it is just keep me rolling ( I do not pick + choose where I go I just want to stay running ) I was offered a shorty 150 miler that got me outta the area and was followed up with a 900 miler.
Point is you gotta be proactive, make yourself available for ANY load to keep you moving to get to another area to keep rolling and productive communicate and make yourself avail for the crap loads that the other drivers would rather sit than roll with.
I am home almost every weekend and still stay productive, in just over a year here I have a handful of sub 2000 mile weeks, it is going to happen now and then.
