Those paint marks are solely for optimum aero to conserve fuel I wouldn't hesitate to move the fifth wheel to make weight.

Trucks distribute weight differently. A load scaled legal with a freightliner in the paint would most likely be over on steers if swapped to a volvo also in the paint.

We had a 42k load that needed the 5th wheel moved all the way to the rear to get the steers close to 13k on the trainer's Volvo.

The volvo and kw are almost 1200lbs heavier than the freightliner. Based on that i would be cautious of a load scaled close to the limit with a freightliner.

Of course that is if you have the luxury of knowing who scaled the load...or that it was scaled at all.

Not quite, wasted about 3 hours today trying to get my truck fueled but computer claimed that either me or my truck didn't exist.

I thought I would have to resort to just sticking the fuel on my credit card.

Three hours? Should have only taken a call into Richmond to straighten out.

Sometimes you may have to use the last load you were under if you just began a trip.

I personally wouldn't use my card to fuel the truck. I would just wait until the problem was fixed.

But I believe that most of our OTR fleet are Volvos and Kenworths... So it would be a fairly close exchange between those two.

And would be paying a higher rate than the company contract too... But ic the load was required to be on time it might need to be done... But I sure would not top off the tanks.

I was AT Richmond trying to fuel and still couldn't get anywhere. Shrugged shoulders and phone tag ensued.

After a couple hours I eventually got the go ahead to set off as i had enough in my tanks to get to my delivery. Was told to try truck stops as maybe the yard puter just didn't like me.

Lost another hourish stopping along the way to try fueling.

It eventually got sorted somewhere in GA so I can now enter FL without having to fuel there to get back out.

This was my first run so didn't have a previous load number to try turns out load number wasn't the problem anyway. The system had me assigned to 2 trucks

I wouldn't do it to make on time delivery. No fuel is a valid excuse I would think. It's not like filling up your car.

    Glad it got worked out.

Had you not used the card before?
Like during training? Or did it not get transferred to your new truck?

    Redtwin Thanks this.
