So by your first comment on my thread, Its safe to assume you would have no problem working a driver like my boss does? In a truck with a leak bad enough to use a gallon of oil a week, and air leaks that cause all the air to bleed off in just over an hour after being shut down?

Honestly, I think your worried about stuff you shouldn't be. Maintenance issues you absolutely should be worried about, but you said he fixed everything you complained about accept the oil leak. He didn't inspect the truck MHC did, some companies would take MHC's inspection over yours, sounds to me like he's trying to keep you happy by fixing what you pointed out, these things aren't cheap to fix.

Im not supposed to be concerned with whether or not the money i am receiveing is the correct amount? How in the hell is someone supposed to know that they are receiving the wage they were promised if they arent allowed to see the rate the truck makes? Thats exactly how every company Ive driven for to date does it. I see the revenue to the truck and I know my pay is based on that revenue.

Read what I wrote, I said "other than not seeing a rate confirmation"!!
To clarify, the stuff you shouldn't be worried about: 1. Who his customers are. 2. Who he sends his freight bills to. 3. How often he fuels his trucks, as long as he isn't stranding you on the side of the road.
You listed his company as being "bad", it's not based on what I read!

Maybe the brokers would give you the rate confirmations for the loads. I assume you have email account. Tell them you need a copy of RC for the contact information.

I started out with 1 truck and grew a little. When I put the second truck on I too had to juggle money to keep fuel in the truck. My estimation of added expenses was not accurate. Never had the truck skimp on fuel or repairs. I personally took less is pay.

Him not giving you the unblemished rate confirmation leads me to believe you are not getting full pay.
The pay stubs should have your pay broke down by deductions. This is the only way you can verify the correct amount has been paid to irs, ss, and state. Or at least has been deducted from your pay.
His responsibility to make sure it gets to the proper agencies.

He may not have enough operating cash to keep you moving smoothly. If he is using a factoring company to collect pay on each trip to get money for fuel for the next. In short time he will be out of business.
It won't take long for that factoring charge to eat up all his profit. It can get expensive quick.

He may have to leave you parked without fuel because he has no money to put on fuel card.

My, opinion he means well, he just doesn't have the bank roll to do it. I don't think it is intentional or with malice. Just a good idea without the funds.

He/they probably had to sell assets of previous company to satisfy the courts for divorce decree. IF she and him were both owners and he didn't have the money to buy her out.

I advise you to look for a different company. You need to keep your wife happy. This man will find someone else to drive his truck. He will learn from this experience also.
    Good luck.

If you dont understand how misrepresenting ones business to a driver is a cause for concern then, driver we have nothing more to discuss. He is lying to me about his operation and I think is just a matter of time before something goes wrong.

Just keep looking at small co's even if you have to go somewhere else...you never know when youll run across one that is a good operation...just do your homework and essentially investigate the background of any co just like they would you...you have to protect yourself as well...

Dude, you're making this 10x harder than it has to be. Just get a job with a real company. There are plenty of them out there.
