DB Kustoms approved me.... I've spoken with 4 of there drivers separate and each stated they love it. Now I was told some of the same things in this thread so basically it mostly depends on the terminal you're assigned if you'll run good. A couple of them stated money can be made at quality. But of course this year is a little slow. I was told that Dave and Dan supply the trucks and are there to help in anyway. Quality gives the freight (well I guess depending on your area/terminal) I've spoken with both Dan and Dave they both sound like great guys and stated they are they to help for 2years. Most guys stop calling for help soon after starting.

Well it doesn't hurt to see for yourself... I mean it can't be any worse than were I'm at now... I'm like this when i want to know about something i ask questions but even when asking questions.. SOMETIMES what you get isn't all true... not saying anyone is bs-ing but sometimes one could miss out on something that could work out for them and a lot of time it blows up in your face. How would you know if you don't take a shot? If don't work then move on...

Yeah they have... maybe they're running hard and dont have the time to chat or just said enough about the topic.. lol

I've worked for Chemical Leeman before the quality buy out....

Times were much better then, and it was tough to make money there.......

Get on some kind of dedicated run.... The "system" sucks.

And the terminals didn't play well together back then. Now that a lot of them are franchised it must be a cluster F.

I am, How are you guys? I am still wit QC and my DB truck; but I have been really busy, sorry.

As most of you know I pulled my first load in Febraury - after a month of waiting for my truck. I can honestly say I throughly enjoy working for QC out of the Joliet terminal. I said it once before; QC does not want your trucks back, because they need you. I do not know or care why other people failed, because you choose your own destiny here. Plus they allow you to switch terminals if you feel another terminal is better for you. I have a friend in the St Louis terminal even though he lives in GA. and he is very happy. Come to think of it most of my friends here work for terminals that are not in their home state, because they find it better for them. You may live in New York, but eventually find out Houston, TX. has a customer right by our house, so you might Transfer. I live in Northern Illinois and I am very happy in Joliet. When I joined Joliet, I made it my team. My team members are extremely valuable to me and I make myself valuable to them. I get calls from my dispatch when they are in a bind and I help them. And I do not get brownie points or put on an "A" list, but I know they will be there for me if I get in a bind.

If you buy a truck through DB Kustoms or Keys to Quality - check the truck over; especially if you buying a used truck. No one is purposely selling hunks of junk. Maintain your truck and keep it up, do not wait until it's falling a part then blame the people who sold you a used truck. Own it before it gets out of hand and find a solution that works, because QC will work with you. If someone says they have been here a few months or a year - and the truck has been nothing but junk the whole time; who's fault is that? That responsibility should of been owned and rectified long ago.

Your weekly settlement is not a weekly lottery winning or a weekly jack pot. You are a business owner, so operate your business with that money; which includes paying yourself. If you go broke or have negative settlements - own that self accountability and figure out what when wrong. You agreed to the loads you pulled that week, and I promise you no one forced you to have a crappy week. If that terminal is not working for you talk to us out here and find out what terminals have what loads going where, and we will help you find a new home. I have gotten to know a lot of terminals and let me tell you, there are some really good dispatchers and terminals at QC. So if you are broke and negative multiple negative settlements - that's on you. So quit doing stupid stuff or get your but out of the house and go to work. I have not had 1 negative settlement in the 7 months I have been here, and no it is not luck. I own self accountability and responsibility; and when in doubt I ask for help.

Do not hang around Debbie downers, they will drag you down. Find the successful owner operators at QC and become friends. The ones who are doing good and enjoying life want to share their success. The successful ones are not afraid you are going to take their work from them; there is plenty to go around.

Bottom line; there is no reason you should be bringing home less than $1500 a week. Everyone runs differently so it is hard to give an average bring home after ALL expenses, but $1500 should be your minimum. Unless you laid on the couch or hung out at the truck stop to long. I bring home 1500 to 2k per week and I home every weekend and 1 or 2 nights per week. Couple guys out East make that and are home every night. A few fella's I know that get home once a month make a bunch more than $1500.

Ask away and I will answer. I left you guys for a while because of the nay Sayers and some of you honing in on it. I believe in self accountability, and succes or failures start and finish in the mirror.
