Your insurance might be hard pill don't know with your exp.credit figures in to.mine runs me 6600 a year I run a step deck no ideal about a ref. Operation.there are a lot of opportunities that I didn't realize until I did it.for example my brother in law hauled waste water from the city treatment plant.makes in3000 dollar week range doesn't drive more then 50 miles from plant del. To local farmers.3000 a week doesn't burn a load of fuel a week home everyday.I personally would never lease to a carrier again.

I run my own numbers. There's really not a whole lot of paperwork involved. after each week or load I sit down and file all my papers it takes no more than about 15 minutes if that.

You got very lucky!!! You are required to have an application on file on yourself. And you are definitely required to be in a Drug Testing Consortium. Back when I first got my Authority in 1994 you only had to go take a pre employment drug test and have it on file, no consortium required then. Things have changed !!!

You still have to take a pre-employment drug test, and you also need a medical director, a person that is notified when it is your turn for a random test, drug or alcohol, and that person is supposed to notify you to go directly to a drug testing facility, after being notified, you cannot legally do anything else, especially any safety related functions until the random test is over. A word of caution, while waiting for a random drug test, DO NOT leave the waiting room to answer a phone call or anything else as it can be called a refusal to test.

How did I get lucky you ever been asked by the dot yo see your drug test.who ask to see your application. What I said about a drug testin program was told to me by the dot officer that did my audit. As long as I didn't hire drivers or lease on anyone. No one would ever check.Unless I had an wreck that killed someone. Then the police would require a drug test there.Dot would then check me.No drug testing program 1st is a warning no fine.
