LOL. I'm not sure what the truck and trailer have to do with anything. We all know that has little effect on operations here. Well except I have to wash her constantly. I kinda forgot to add extra truck washes into my basic operating cost. It has raised them .05 a mile in washes alone. But that comes with the decreased miles I run I suppose.

Finally parked back at home and with 9 minutes to spare. Today ended up sucking hard core. 4 and a half hours to get loaded and 2.5 to get unloaded. All of it waiting time over bs. The second load went smooth tho, except I was 2 hours late and the crane started disassembling blocking the drive to get out just long enough for downtown Tampa traffic to get good and clustered. Oh well. Total loaded miles today of 41. 220 empty. What is that? 500 percent deadhead? 185 of that tho was going from and back to the house.

Not all gulf beaches suck. If you get over around Destin, Fort Walton Beach , Panama city FL the beaches are beautiful. We have a little laid back place there we visit as often as possible.

Siesta key, lido key, Anna Maria, longboat key. Any of the sarasota beaches. If you got small kids don't go to Siesta key. Children should not see that much skin.

Take them to hurlburt field while you are there. It's only about a 20 minute drive from Santa Rosa.

Edit to add: they have an outdoor museum of restored military aircraft. Well over a dozen, including a spectre, hercules, jolly green giant, b25 Mitchell, pave low, and a bronco plus several more I'm not that familiar with. And best of all its free. No admission costs.

Also don't forget the battleship in Mobile, AL only an hour or so away.

    Santa Rosa is very nice.

spyder, we don't usually get down that far. You know how it is when you drive for a living, you want the shortest drive possible for a vacation. Destin is much closer to home

Yeah, I made a 350 mile circle on my map from Huntsville, AL....I basically had Appalachicola to Gulf Shores. I like Dauphin Island, but they didn't have anything available for when I wanted.
