FSC is paid to the truck to offset an expense, it's not a bonus for company drivers on %. I may be wrong, but I doubt any company would give a driver part of the FSC.
I'm assuming they are going to pay you a % of the "per mile" rate that is calculated after deducting assessorials, such as FSC.
FYI - most customers, such as shippers, never operate off of "per mile" rates and a FSC. That is all crap that brokers use to manipulate numbers and keep you in the dark. Shipper A wants to know how much to take there stuff form point A to point B. How you split it up, is not their concern. Their accounting department could care less about per mile...
And if you ask me, 22% and even 25% is too low unless they are offering full medical, dental, and vision coverage from day 1 with very low co-pays, quarterly bonuses and a daily per diem.
As a company, driver expenditures will take up between 30-40% of your "rate." So, if a truck makes $1.40 per mile as a yearly average, $0.42 to $0.56 per mile is what your driver will cost you.
I think you mentioned $1000-1300 a week is what you'll be making...at 22% of gross. So, your truck is making between $4500-5000 per week. If you average $1.40 per mile annually, that's around 3-4K miles per week.
You'll never be home!

Well, had to bite the bullet and ask for a van load home today. I'm in way too much pain to be tossing securement equipment around right now. Hopefully get home, get fixed, and get back on the skateboards.

Dr. Venture, I love your signature line!
Dr. Venture Thanks this. -
Flatbed is the only way to go. No offense to the 400 lb box haulers in the buffet line at the flyin hook with their boogers, nose-hair, stinky fingers in the chicken. Flatbedders have a sense of humor.
