Me too. All ready arranged it.

Think the dealers are going to be stuffed full of trucks that week and I'm sure their mechanics want the 4th off also. This looks to be a classic goat####.

90 miles one way to POS dealer. I am well past the point of giving a flying ####. As far as I am concerned, Peterbilt and Pacar can take their junk and shove it where their head is at. You know what engine maker is having far less issues, and can be installed in these trucks from the factory? Cummins. Yes, they have had some quality issues, but these Pacar pieces of #### have been trouble from day 1. So much so that there is a class action lawsuit, much like truck owners of Maxxforce, going after damages from excessive defects. Pacar knew there were issues before mass production, but proceeded anyway.

I'm sorry...EVERY time I get the slightest glimmer of the possibility of getting ahead, something comes along and knocks me further down than I was before. Try to feed a family on $700-$750 a week, for 6 ####ing months in a row. Magnum knew these engines had issues. I have spoken to a lot of drivers who said they have been problem engines all the way back to 2014...but yet they keep on buying them. Sounds to me like they simply don't care how much it screws people up, as long as they get their Benjamins at the end of the week.

Dude you act like this doesn't impact the company as well, the loss of productivity hurts everyone, why do you think we have a Freightliner on test? You were offered a loaner, you're the one whining about not wanting to take it so please turn your truck in and look for the next adventure.

You act like you're the only one getting screwed, been on the hook twice and missed 4 loads but still managed to not cry about it...in the end you are responsible for picking a company that works for your needs, and if you hate Petes why the F...drive for a fleet full of Petes? Me I'm not an International fan, so unless there's a lot of money with it guess which companies I won't be driving for.

And yeah if I were getting your checks after my 4 months and not seeing an improvement I'd leave to so I'm not trying to beat you up. It's time to move on for you we are never gonna be able to meet your needs and we should be careful hiring drivers from your area if we can't get them the miles they need.

Being positive actually, if after being here more than 4 months and moving to performance pay, if we can still only get him to $700 per week then he's right we've failed him and he should move on...

With regards to Pererbilt's well, we run Petes, sometimes they fail, time to build a bridge and get over that. It really makes no sense to drive at a company full of the brand of truck you hate the most...

Is this recall only affecting the 16 and 17 series petes?

As soon as my wife's doctor says she is back to as normal as her knee will ever be, I am moving on. And had I known that these Pete's were going to be as troublesome as they are turning out to be...and my experiences here were going to be this disappointing, I would have never left Poly. Live and learn I guess.

The hatred for this truck brand developed after experiencing them. It was originally just a mild dislike. I had hoped the 'all new from the ground up' 579(a line from an advert I saw somewhere) would change that opinion...but it has only proven to me that Petes are the same as International, just more expensive. It will all be water under that very bridge you speak of very soon I hope. I know this hurts the company too...which is one reason I am curious as to why they stick to buying the same equipment, not just the model of truck, but the model of engine that has proven to be so troublesome in the past for them. Someone said a while back that a member of the shop was overheard saying something about how disappointed they are in the reliability of these trucks, and how they can't believe how bad Peterbilt has gotten with their equipment quality. I believe @ncmickey quoted something a while back(in reference to me) about doing something the same way and expecting different results being a sign of insanity. Since Cummins has a better track record for building a reliable engine than Pacar, and that engine is an option to just bolt right in, instead of these boat anchors, why keep tempting fate, and risk the profits of an entire company by continuing to buy these proven unreliable pieces of equipment year after year. And no, I am not saying the boss is nuts, I am saying Peterbilt must have some darn good salesmen to keep convincing customers that these problems are a thing of the past so they will keep buying. I bet those salesmen could have sold bottled water on the Titanic, as it was sinking.
