There it is right there. If more people thought this way I guarantee they would be saying no to cheap freight. And drivers would be saying no to cheap wages. Oh well it is just wishful thinking in a country full of morons. I think it's all downhill from here considering the rate that the idiots reproduce compared to intelligent people.

@double yellow have you seen "The Big Short" yet? Loved how Michael Burry walked into Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and told them he would be needing assurance that they would pay out after he proved to be right!

Have you delivered and back home yet? My biggest problem this week is my Xfinity Cable remote doesn't work anymore. I have to get up from my chair, go to my online account to change channels via the Internets. (Which I invented).

+1 on both. I can't deny I've come close to this point myself. Funny but true, lately on a regular run every Monday I pass by an office in Mason, OH that I used to work out of at times. So far, I still like the view from outside, rolling down I-71, better than from the inside looking out at the traffic. It was Tuesday this week, due to the holiday. Actually, this time I forgot to look. I passed the Mason-Montgomery Rd exit and realized I'd already passed it.

+1,000. There's very few personal story threads anywhere that have some sort of ending. Usually the end is when someone is totally bankrupt, sold their computer and cell phone, and probably wouldn't be able to afford even the internet connection to post the end with. Or care about it. Or be able to post from jail.

Stop that thinking stuff. You'll ruin it for everyone. And have to work more.

Oh come on. You've been here long enough to come up with something better than that.

Maybe while he was taking shelter from the tornadoes, the Swedish girls swim team tour bus also stopped there. They had a busy schedule and needed a backup driver, so forced him onto the bus with all sorts of unmentionable persuasions. After a few weeks, they just about wore him out. With all that driving you pervs. Then one day at a California stop, they stopped at a Pilot for fuel. He managed to escape out the front entrance and hide in an RV. The one the bus had been following on a 2-lane for 100 miles going 10 mph less than the speed limit. The old folks inside could see how victimized he was, and took him back home to safety. It only took a week to get there.

Comfortable shoes and a warm place to chìt are two of the many keys to happiness, a good driving chair is right up there.

Good luck with your future plans DY. As another guy in real estate and finance I got into trucking because I got tried of living on commissions and boom markets and a steady paycheck sounded like a good idea. I still think there is a future in driving but I sure have reassessed being a O/O in the short term after seeing all the pitfalls one can fall into.

Thanks again for this thread and sharing your experience.
