Mark, my 730 hasn't updated construction, and who knows what else, since July 24 2015.

    SW version 1.0.28.3791

Have you connected to the Rand Mcnally Dock using your computer?

This is how her TND 730 is acting. She has Auto Zoom turned off, Recalc set to manual. Unit will flash bright to dim then recalcs on its own, it will then ask if she wants to stay on the same route, use the same border crossing, still wants to go through the toll road etc. It also changes the screen perspective usually comes up as city scale and when she had Auto zoom turned on to State scale it would change it back to city scale.
There is something really wonky going on here and is very annoying as it can happen at any time or anywhere and could be hazardous if it happens when going into a strange city.
Any input on this problem would be greatly appreciated.
This is a continuation of post #2808
    Thanks
    John

The Slice (what the tablet connects to) is a GPS receiver that boosts your Tablet's internal GPS receiver since it is on the back.

You can use either one, the Slice USB or the Tablet USB for charging, but when plugged into the Tablet the Slice does NOT boost the GPS signal.

    Thanks,
    Mark

It is a 50/50 deal. Basically your choice. If you can wait till GATS in August then and send to me I can take it with me to the show and get it replaced.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Recalc's on its own - build in restart in case the software heartbeats stops.

Changes AutoZoom to Auto - this tells me that during the restarts your Navi/User/User.ini file is corrupting and is rebuilding.

Did you move any of your user files such as addresses over to the new unit I send you?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Which road?

Once a month is fine to capture the New RM/Data files such as construction.

    Thanks,
    Mark

He was just reporting a "missed" or added restriction that was not correct. Doing this adds to the truck restriction database and makes it more correct. A lot of restrictions old and new are often missed sometimes in the mapsets.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Yes I do all the time. Make sure you have any Antivirus software turned off. It will quarantine the .exe for the Navi/Bin folder.

    Thanks,
    Mark

At this point I would say send me your Navi/Logs, but I know what I will be seeing already.

How is the 2nd unit working?

    Thanks,
    Mark
