Like seemingly every multi drop I get, one place holds up all of it. 3 1/2 hours at Ben E Keith so far is gonna make me late for my Sysco drop in Norman, OK. I will then likely be late for my reload at Tulsa Cold delivering on Saturday in Mccook, IL.

It looks like I got supersnackbar's loads. Short runs for the past 2 weeks. I haven't turned down a load yet but I'll start whining about it if I have to. Ashley at least recognized the other day that she was sticking me with a less than desireable load so hopefully she remembers it when Im back in her zone. Hometime scheduled end of next week so hopefully I can finish this trip strong.

Don't go straight to whining, I have found out that if you start with beeching, throw in a little moaning, then add whining that works the best. That way you have the BMW trifecta :biggrin_2559:

This week has sucked. 3 days of layover.
4 days to go go 750 miles
Unloaded at 0400 this am only to have to wait 12 hours to reload on a 275 mile load to blaine for tomorrow. Then reload on Saturday for aberdeen nd. She had some loads for Friday but they we're short loads for Monday.

Update: add another day of layover delivery was changed from 0100 Tuesday to 2300

These 300 mile days are just wearing me out.

2 loads in a row with wrong/missing pu numbers, and...both listed as no temp control, but both ended up needing a reefer. One was a -10 load. Thankfully I called the shipper on that one so I didn't have to sit waiting on my 80° trailer to get to 0° before they loaded it.

Next time someone is outside your truck, could you check your sleeper track bar bolts. (That is the bar that goes from the bottom of the sleeper on the drivers side to the frame behind the exhaust to keep it from moving to the side)
    This bolt

See if you can move it by hand any....mine spins freely and the washer is loose.

So here was my day in a nutshell:

Took 81/2 out of a ten at the pilot in Northfield, then on to Mclanes for my 12am appt. (stop 2 of 2) They have no room for me, won't let me park in the side lot. Run up the street, wait for an hour. Get the call to come in and sit for 30 minutes waiting to get in the gate. Get parked, ppwk in at 1:30. Finally get unloaded at 430. There's 2 boxes of tootsie rolls crushed. -Wer're talking $20 of candy here. Call up the broker, they saay they have to get back to me on what to do. Do all the paperwork, osd, etc, and 4 mclanes trucks are parked right in front of me in a torrential t-storm. Wait another 1/2 hour before I said screw it and started getting insistent. Get out of there at 5:15. Check out of the gate and get absolutely soaked in 45 seconds, right thru my "weather-resistant" coat and from the waist down.

Get to CR at mostly 35 MPH due to the t-storm being THAT bad, where I have to drop this trailer because I DVIR'd it for severe damage to the reefer and sides of the trailer when I picked it up in DE.

Call the broker, they want me to wait another 1-1/2 hours before they want me to leave it, I said um, SURE... left the candy in a trailer and emailed Ashley and updated the OSD as to where the candy was, PRECISELY.

On the way to St. Cloud I get not a phone call, but an EMAIL asking where the candy is. Just...irritating.

Pick up the trailer in St. Cloud, there's a giant gash in the sidewall of one of the tires. Take it to Fargo, get it replaced at Bear, ask if we can get IN gate 5 because it's a shortcut: "Sure! I see you guys going in that way all the time..." Needless to say, LTL only. I wait there for 15 minutes for someone to come let me in cause otherwise it's backing onto a street totally blind... Get a "talking to."

Pull into the fuel island for DEF... card won't work. Try the other island, card works, pump is broken.

At this point I'm screaming, kicking my tires in frustration...

Drove off, Def can wait a bit...And promptly get on 94 EAST bound instead of WEST bound. Pull off the exit to turn around... 5 mile detour...

Finally got to my stopping point for the day. Yep, today the Bar ate ME.

I don't mean to be mean...I feel your pain. But, welcome to MY world. Imagine either having a day like you had, or the crappy miles (like @WalterSobchak has been getting and you've seen in the past) AND days like you just had, but having those 90% of the time...that's why I get so grumpy.

Is Campbell's in Napoleon a drop/hook? With the 'whack-a-mole' attendance going on in Fargo today, I asked Brent, but he must have been too busy to get a chance to answer. He sent me a load that picks up there, but the pick up time is the same as my delivery time in Springfield. If it's a drop/hook, then no big deal, if it isn't, I won't make it.
