    I talked to a Poly driver last night at the Loves in Dillon, SC. He was asking me about the company I drive for. He said he put in his notice and was looking. I don't normally remember this kind of stuff, but I was surprised at what all he said, mainly because he said he's been there 6 years. Frankly, I wouldn't stay somewhere for six days if all the things he said was going on.

    These are his reasons for quitting:

    - "POS trucks and trailers"
    - "Total lack of respect by ANYONE in the office"
    - "Comapny has gone steadily down hill in the 6 years he's been there"
    - "No one there gives a rats rear end whether or not you're unhappy about something"
    - "No one will answer a phone and most likely will not return your call"
    - "More and more loads are being farmed out"

    Wow, that's quite a list of reasons. Let's see, junk fleet and loads are steadily being farmed out, and no one answers the phone.

    Sounds a lot like a company that's getting out of the trucking business to me.

    It's all doom and gloom at poly this past weekend . I don't understand a lot of it but some guys I know recently quit and they were good guys.

    I've never had a problem with our trailers and we just bought new ones. Trucks suck, shop suck's no defending that. I don't talk to anyone in the office so I have no issue there. True they don't answer phones but I don't answer mine when they need something either unless I feel like it. With all the drivers leaving they have to use contractors.

    From what I was told that driver that rented the uhaul was known by the name of stinky, makes me wonder what kind of driver he was when Stinky was his nickname. Lol

    Out on new maiden voyage to Sumner. Truck is due for pm so will likely get a load back to GP for that as well as for getting my inverter installed. Truck is running fine thus far and a/c is cold. Will keep you guys updated on my end as to how things are going or not going. I can tell you first hand that gout ####ing sucks:) Foot looks like I got bit by a rattler and feels like I'm walking on nails. Sixth day and the pain is subsiding a bit, hopefully will pass in the next couple of days.

    Trucks with older Qual Comm units
    are getting them replaced with newer models . This may be an indication we
    are about to go on E Logs

    They probably have been getting replaced since I've been here, so over a year. That being said I'm sure it's coming eventually.

    You can bank on it. The Feds aren't going to rest until they get that through once and for all. It might not happen on the most recent deadline, but it'll happen sooner or later.

    Poly is a manufacturing company....that has some trucks....not a true trucking company .....almost like the trucking part....is the redheaded stepchild of the company.....making bags comes first ...poly trucking/second
