Holy Smokes! All the companies that train outtaschool are gonna have good and bad things true and untrue said about them. Just ask questions, pay attention and try to get a trainer that has been truckin for awhile. At least 3 years. I had a trainer ask me questions about mountain driving in Oregon. You may have to put up with some situations that are'nt ideal but stick it out. After a year of legal driving with no tickets or wrecks, the pay will go up and alot more doors will open for you. Try System Transport. They won't promise you anything but a good day's pay and benefits for a good day's work.

    Good Luck n Good Truckin

Do most drivers use a GPS and if so which works best for this application? Thanks in advance. Time is money I'm thinking.

Hey, I am with maverick, I would say go with them, but I would not go with werner. I would go with roehl before werner.

I use a truck version GPS. Garmin. I like it for updating mt eta's and it helps keep my OOR down. Which puts money in my pocket with bonuses. It will quickly pay for itself, but I do not always follow it. I use a truckers atlas and see what route I want to follow.

I myself am going for trans am out of kansas. Two of my school mates got on there. One is going over the road today. He tells me he has a good trainer. The gps systems he tells me are for highways not citys. You have to use your atlas for that.I would stay away from werner also, heard too many bad things about them on this forum.GOOD LUCK AND KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN.:biggrin_2551:
