Everyone gets the message. They load them so we bring them. You have a weight issues all the time with the dry vans also.

I've never had overweight issues with a dry van. But, I'm not arguing with you about it. Just saying if you purposely drop a reefer on there, you're just screwing over someone else.

But you're not getting what evomalo is saying. It's the PLANNER that tells the driver to drop it there. So, the issue is (ONCE AGAIN) the office. And we all know about that.

Thanks for your time in this. My wife and I set up our IRA's and other investments years ago when we sold our business and commercial property we owned. Fortunately our portfolio with Ameriprise Financial has been and continues to grow. Our investment councilor and attorney has set up the disbursement as a fiscal year instead of a calendar year so our tax bite won't be as bad. I still need another avenue to stear money into. God only knows we pay more then enough in taxes every year.

Now, back on subject, I had the pleasure of meeting evomalo at Gatorade Monday. I did pick up a load going to Supervalu in Mechanicsville. It was on a dry van and over gross. I elected to not deal with going back and ran with it. I went around the scale in Roanoke and dropped the trailer.

I'm going to agree with RC in this, our planners at times need to get on the same planet with everyone else. How can they send a QC message about no reefers, then send a reefer in there to get loaded?

And the loading deal there, they load what, 50-100 trailers a day, and you over load a trailer by 2000 pounds, really, first time doing this?

This is why I have a little calendar in my truck with an end date, every day, the first order of business is another X to touchdown.

I really don't believe a dry van being over gross. I hauled more gator than anyone being I'm out of the Wytheville yard and I've never to this day have had one over on a dry van. But yes, I agree. If they have that many reefers they don't know what to do with, why not find a reefer customer on that side of va? That free labor about going back to get some taken off adds up. I wonder if I couldn't add an extra stop message for having to go back if they would pay me? Lol. I doubt it. And I think it's just our company. You don't ever see Prime taking their loads back to get reworked...granted it be a real truck instead of that mini truck thing.

It was. In my limited time out here, I came up with this observation about that joint, they can't add. I just hold this steering wheel and rely on others to think for me, but I think they put an extra pallet of piss water in the trailer I picked up. If we were set up to get an automatic $25 to go back and rework an over gross load then I would, but like you stated, in this particular case, my time was more important then free work.
