Guess who got your MD sugar run. I did a driveby there today to find the place as pickup isn't until tomorrow. I was entertaining the thought of seeing if they would load a day early but it looked like a madhouse and I got yelled at within seconds of parking so i hightailed it out of there.

Anyone have any insider tips on picking up there?. Im at a dinky truck stop up the road but it looks like a new pilot is going in nearby.

Call before you head over with the carts. I did and a very annoyed receiver told me the appt was 2 days later than was listed on load info.

Im up for shuttling drys to wytheville and reefers back to Richmond.

Just last week a driver was sitting at Richmond because there were no empty reefers for him to go get his bh load.

Hope they are nothing like that place in Orlando i delivered to yesterday. 3 hours to unload 6 coolers.

I was absolutely fuming as I had to get to jax that night and my 14 was slowly circling the drain while I 4 traffic was doing what it does best every afternoon.

Just for comparison i delivered 4 in Boca this morning and they were unloaded in 20 minutes which included them pulling all the nails and sweeping the trailer floor until spotless.

I've loaded there more times then I can count. The place sucks, period. When you get there, the first guard house will just wave you thru. Follow the road down to the shipping sign and turn left. You'll come to a second guard house with a scale. You don't need to stop or scale in there. Take the outside lane and head down the road which will be at you left about 11 o'clock. Take that to the end. You'll see the loading dock to your left. Don't turn there. Turn just on the other side of the gate and follow to the scale. Pull into the scale and park. Go into the little office and call the number on the wall. They want your pick up number and cell number. After that pull off the scale, go straight to the exit. Follow it back to the road you came in and park on the side. They'll call you when it's your turn.
After you get loaded, go in and get your seal. Close your doors and seal the trailer. Drive back out to the second guard house, get in that scale and get your paperwork there. Simple enough?....not.

I got as far as the second set of scales and it was on that lot i was planning to park and ask in that little trailer when I got chased away. It was a hell of a long shot asking about loading a day early so I didn't mind leaving.

On the way over i was thinking looking for a camping spot there but one whiff of the place put that idea out of my mind.

That rathole truck stop your at doesn't take EFS, so when you go back to axle out, it's cash only.
