Talked to the Pete dealer the other day about a 388 glider and they said about 2 months to get it to the dealer but then Im in Montana so about 1/3 of that wait is getting it paired with a shipment from Texas to Montana. So Im guessing it would be the same for a KW unless they are on back order.

Last time anyone I know ordered a Kenworth truck it took about 2 months before it showed up.

Given the fact that Freightliner layed off another 1000 people among their plants in NC last week and another 500 in Mexico(wow) and they are down to 1 shift at each plant, you can probably get a truck from any manufacturer in record time.
2 months would be about the shortest time any truck could be ordered, given the lead times of getting whatever special items you want from the various vendors.
I know the attraction of ordering a truck, but last time I checked truckpaper there were at least 800 T-680's new available at dealers, and lots of them are really wanting to sell those trucks. $ saved.BigSky Thanks this. -
One bit of advice I will give is to double and triple check the order before its submitted. First KW my dad ordered came in with 8' axles instead of the 8' 6" he wanted. 2nd truck he ordered it in a particular shade of orange with black fenders. Dealer had to call all over for the paint code and then either forgot to put it in the order or the factory screwed up. Truck showed up 2 months later in a hideous shade of gray. Almost looked like primer. They offered to re-spray it but he took a stock ordered truck instead.

Have another person look over the order also. They may catch something that you miss.
