Now South dakota is friendly to full time truckers & RV's who just need a tax home. I'm full time and I have my residency there, it does requires a trip out however. Otherwise your gonna need to use a friends or a po box. As far as a po box you'd have to deal with the state of florida some states may allow the use of a po box on a drivers license and some may not since it isn't an actual physical address. The next issue as mentioned above the per diem tax deduction which will likely be a 15,000-16, 000 deduction/yr (for any readers unfamiliar that's deduction not refund). So you really may want to use an actual physical address vs a po box. All that said prime is pretty good about letting you take hometime wherever you want as long as its in the hiring area.

Nope, unless you count the dozen or so roller decks that are dedicated for fed ex loads

My last dry load was 4 pallets, 7000 pounds for a 1000 mile trip. Wish I could get more of those !

228 pages...wow! I have been working with my recruiter at Prime for about a week now. I'm almost done gathering my documentation & am hoping to start training on 7/5/16.

One thing that concerns me that I have read so far is the CPAP/sleep apnea stuff. I'm a big guy (70"/270#) and was diagnosed with SA when I was many pounds heavier. After losing some weight I didn't seem to need my machine any longer. While I was using it my sleep was worse because having something on my face & the hose catching on the pillow as I toss & turn kept waking me up. Is CPAP usage tracked in the truck? If so, how? I don't want to go back to using one again & be more tired for doing so.

Yes, they will track it and make sure you are in compliance.

Question and i mean this with all due concern and respect. Did you work with the doctor to resolve issues?

If you toss and turn you may have more sleep issues. Been there and thank god I got help.

Good luck to you and at Prime!!

I read up on it more & mentioned it to my recruiter. Since I was previously diagnosed I'll need another sleep study. It won't cost me anything as I go through the VA. Worst case scenario is doc says I need to go back on it & I will have to have 30 days compliance. It will save me a lot of money having it checked out privately & not having to pay for another CPAP. My old Respironics has a card slot I just need to make sure it is enabled.

The big concern I have is that I was usually MORE tired from using the CPAP. I toss & turn a lot (even when I didn't have SA & I do not sleep on my back very well. Every time I moved the hose would get caught on the pillow or I would have to physically move it with me as I switched from one side to the other. This kept me awake longer than the SA did.

I ran into the same issue so I changed pillows and keep the machine off the ground to give the hose more freedom.

Does your mask have a hose connector that pivots around and lets the hose move? If not, try a Mirage Quattro like I have.
