Time has gone by and I'm sure these manufacturers have few of the bigger issues sorted out.. or do they?
Do you have one of these?
The power cube seems to have better btu numbers but lacks a better record than the dynasys which has a tainted record of breakdowns as well.
Which would you recommend? Why?
No, tripak, comfort, others are not an option due to financing.
Dynasys or Power Cube?

They are all pretty much the same and require maintenance and parts replaced. Everyone seems to think APU's should last for 20 years without a problem. It's also not the BTU's but the air flow. I've had my Rigmaster for over 10 years now. Replaced alternator once, generator head 4 times, radiator once and AC hoses maybe 3 times. If the thing blew up tomorrow I would buy another one. It's also a crap shoot. Sometimes your lucky and sometimes not.
Lucar Thanks this. -
From what i can tell about the PowerCube is that it is not really for over the road operation......that thing is a big boy. I would agree with skate-board that airflow is by far more important than btu.
Dynasys was at MATS this year. they had new models out. Both used CAT and one was an auto AC style compressor no gen head setup. Looking similar to TK or something.
Anybody know anything about this? -
every apu has its own maintenance and issues that comes with it. as long as you take care of it it will take care of you. for the question of Dynasys or powercube well.......I have never really seen the powercube but its pretty big if I am not mistaken. I have seen the Dynasys and heard mixed reviews. I saw them at gats and it looks like they have a couple models. I would go with the Dynasys purely because it is cheaper than the other guys and theoretically it does the same thing as the more expensive guys and probably even uses some of the same parts. Its like buying a Lexus over Toyota makes no sense!! Its the same care with a different badge!!!!!!!

I got the new Dynasys last month. (installed at Boomer Diesel) in OK City. Couldn't be happier...got condenser fan mounted on unit. (Pictured Below) Paid $9016.00 out the door. Peterbilt and Kenworth dealerships are charging $11,000. If you are a member of OOIDA you'll receive a $500 discount.
