Just curious, is this a lease, lease purchase, or company position?

Then why on the hell is it even being considered? The driver paying for fuel on 32% tells me he wouldn't have anything left on payday.

I agree with Gunner75, 32% aint gonna cash the fuel bill for the week. As a team we burned 300 gallons every 30 or so hours fueling prior to empty. In 7 days that comes to dollar signs much much higher than a pathetic 32% will ever cover.

I just came from running for a small 3 truck operation making 30%. Was in a 2007 vnl 670 with a Cummins isx15 my milage averaged 6.5mpg, and i burned an average of $200 a day easy, and the truck owner paid for fuel, and took taxes out on me.

It's cliche, but just say no bro

There will be a day we will see 10mpg then 20, then 30.

And grandma would be wheels and a wagon. 6 is really good fuel mileage. But 30 years ago or more 5 was really good then.

A peanut offering from the cheap seats... all that fine computer technology for 7 mpg. Sheesh. I rather have my air breathers.

Let's do the math here. Let's say you have a decent week of 3k miles. And let's say your boss gets a really good average, for van, of $2 per mile. That's $6k to the truck. So 32% of that is $1920. Let's say you get 6mpg. That's 500 gallons of fuel burnt. According to the EIA, the average for the last 3 week for diesel fuel across the US was $2.35... must be some cheap as #### diesel out there somewhere... anyway, 500 gallons at $2.35 is $1175. So your cut so far is $1920 - $1175 = $745. For 3000 miles. That's 24.8 cpm. And you still have the WC payment, maintenance escrow, AND your own taxes you have to pay out of that. Plus health insurance on the open market (HAHAHAHAHAHAH GOOD LUCK) or through OOIDA, or by some other means. And then there's food, incidentals, entertainment on the road (those lot lizards aren't free, you know....) etc.

So, the question is, does this sound like a good deal to you?
