Wow. The truck driver reported that Harry Potter was still playing on the sound system when he went to check on the driver. The guy was watching a movie on his video screen at the time of the accident. He also said the Tesla was going a "high rate of speed".

I would certainly like to know more about the accident.

Well, trucks cannot always avoid being in the way, such as those backing into lots that require them to block all lanes of a street momentarily, or even some left turns that are near corners where they can't see oncoming traffic if it's flying around that corner just after the truck begins turning. So, if an approaching vehicle cannot recognize this or exercise due caution, it isn't necessarily a slow moving vehicle's fault for being slow moving. Just as they seem to be saying it isn't an autonomous vehicle's fault for being autonomous, I'd call this a draw (except apparently it shouldn't have been in autonomous mode).

At the end of the day, I think I'll just avoid taking that left turn in particular (and go the long way around)...

I also read that the car moved from the passing lane to the slow lane, thereby bringing it more toward the trailer, which it might have cleared if it stayed leftward, before impact because it 'may have had difficulty differentiating the white trailer from the bright Florida Sky'.
My guess is Tesla driver was taking a snooze to his movie. And he didn't wake up from it. Trusted the car to alert him when it's far too early to put stock in that trust... it's like making a friend and giving him your bank account PIN within the first day. Takes someone real 'special'. :-/

OMG...need a roll of tin foil?
I take it you're unaware that those white armored vehicles are made in Virginia?

Well there is one part of your delusional paranoid missive you got right...they are assembled in a disclosed location .
Rather than listening to Alex Jones you should get some fresh air.

I'm just saying u aught to just look out trucking is a big thing in america if they say ok I pay u 20 cents a mile and sometime in really soon O/O would have no choice but to go company cuz of platooning and insurance would be too much. Just look everyone go on elogs same with speed limiters its already happening as they getting ready. Look at Detroit used to be a great city and its been decades since there place started doing cars by humans. Education system isn't good enough to bring our kids up in these days. I go out enjoy my time fixing my 1996 ford mustang 4 wheeling reading books being with my wife. I'm just saying people look around u

    http://cleantechnica.com/2016/07/02/tesla-model-s-autopilot-crash-gets-bit-scary-negligent/

    New details:

Just prior to the crash a woman reported she was driving 85 mph in the same direction as Mr. Brown and he passed her at a much higher rate of speed.

Instead of applying brakes, even after the impact caused the car to veer off the road it kept going and avoided a bank of trees, then attempted to steer around the telephone pole that stopped it.

The truck driver was making a left turn coming from the opposite direction. It's flat and straight, with plenty of room to see oncoming traffic.

I don't care what technology is in use, there will still be some crashes, with people being hit or killed.
