Just graduated from ASU Newport. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting their CDL. Ended up with about 80 hrs of time behind the wheel. Bobby Forrester who heads it was a good instructor.

That's where Maverick send their new applicants for CDL school.
-
Yeah, about the 9 out of 14 were destined for Maverick. One was going to work for TMC.

You shouldn't have any problems finding a good job after graduating from that school.
Southern Refrigerated Transport uses the University of Arkansas @ Texarkana for their students.
Best wishes in your new career; should make some good money with that diploma.Last edited: Sep 18, 2015

What's the cost?

Last year it was $3,000 but it you go through Maverick all you have to do is drive from them for 6 months and everything is good.

Congratulations Neighbor. If they put you on 67 south, you probably have worked around me in my car once or twice.
It is a good program, Ive been keeping an eye on them. Im a ASU Alumi myself (Not graduated, I stopped schooling in IT when federal loans reached 40K for the two of us and yes we paid them off in full thank god... never again... so many ramen cups and noodles ugh...)
I encourage Arkansas to look at ASU for Trucking, they do not fool around too much if at all like some other schools do.Road Boss Thanks this.
