I can testify to this. Superior is definitely a family friendly company. I have never had an issue getting home for family events or holidays. I don't want to live in a truck so this is perfect for me. Sometimes even 10-11 days gets to be too long, lol.

That was probably a different plant. This is waste product that they produce. It loads at 350F and goes to a plant in Houston to be recycled. We use old DMT trailers and keep one spotted there. Lost it to ABC for a while but now it's back. Nice load. Only 24,000 lbs.

Edited to add pic. These trailers have 2 inch vent pipes. It's on the far right. You open it with the lever on the pipe going up the back. The internal and external valves are controlled by those 2 levers on the back. I have never unloaded one. Most places the guy wears a heat suit and looks like a space man.

I've seen those trailers going down the road, but never paid much attention to them. I assume that vent pipe is for vapor recovery?

Vapor recovery and to vent the trailer. That's where they hook the air line for an air unload. 350 degree product and you don't want to touch anything up top.

Well fellow co-drivers, I know I said I was going to stay here until I retired but circumstances changed where I need to be home more so I put in my notice last week. July 15th is my last day. Will be hauling gas locally M-F day shift and off on the weekends.

Superior has been great to work for. Learned a lot from them. I will miss them.

You guys have any idea how I can get back on at Superior? Talked to the tm in Morrow but I don't think he will go to bat for me right now.

Thinking about calling the tm and soon to be Southeast VP at Greer.

Start calling and shaking hands. If you left on good terms , there shouldnt be an issue coming back, should There? Or is Superior spiteful in that regard?

He quit and was rehired and quit again within a year, so the TM in Atlanta probably wont trust him to stick around long enough to make it worthwhile.
@rubberducky68 what makes you think this time will be much different? The things you didn't like before are still going to be there.

    scythe08 Thanks this.

I had some personal issues going on at home that needed to be taken care of and I couldn't handle them from the road.

I didn't quit because I hated Superior. They aren't perfect but far better than most companies out here.

It can't hurt. Maybe call Jack or Robert at the training center too. Maybe show up on the Morrow yard and have a face to face with that TM. Explain the personal issues. You put in several years for them before quitting the first time. That ought to count for something.

    scythe08 and rubberducky68 Thank this.
