I didn't haul much around rock Springs unless it was working for jones, or hotshot work.

Not to my knowledge. You said it, Tracy brokered to his friends, and that's where a majority of my rig move experience came from. Worked with their rifle crew alot. Short infield moves only requiring a few "slick" trucks and we were their. It was only on the longer stuff that sharp would come into the picture

@Dustyroads38 I know it's a stretch, but do you have any connection to a fellow named Dusty Rhoades that worked in the oil patch near Santa Maria CA in late 60s and 70s?

    Dustyroads38 and macavoy Thank this.

LOL. No. My name is dusty and instead of using "crash38" (old motocross nick name) as my handle, I thought I'd have a little fun with it, since I'm frequently asked if I know "dusty rhodes."

On a side note, I hope I don't get myself into a "guilty by association" situation and have y'all view me as the enemy. I think this forum is pretty stellar, and have nothing but the utmost respect for you old-school heavy haulers.

The dusty I am referring to was quite a character. I happened to run into his daughter who ran a little mom and pop truckstop on 95 in idaho 9 years ago and her husband had a truck. Just thought I'd check.

    Dustyroads38 Thanks this.
