    Morning yall,
Hope your keepin it safe and keepin it real. I'm hoping I can get my guestion out and not seem long winded, heres my situation.
I got back in 87, and again in 88, two dui's, in 89, I caught a low class felony charge. Went to jail realized it was time to grow up. Got a job with Waste Management and a few yrs later started drivin for em. I drove for them till I moved to a different state in 2005.
The big prob is just before I moved I got hit w/ another dui. I talked to the judge, and lawyer and they classified it as a first offence cause of the time frame since the last dui. Since that time my wife and I split up and I had touble w/ my finances an am now dealing with hot check charges, I'm paying off fines on them. I went and got my cdl class a permit awhile back and my Tanker, and Hazmat endorsements, and soon weill be hooking up w/ my doubles and triples. Thats about the sum of it, my question is, Do i have a channce to get back into the career I love and miss?? Please any, and every reply is very welcome. I already went and sent for my free DAC report, that'll be interesting to see what's on there.

You always have a chance. Of course, I'd not expect to work for a reliable national company. Not even sure Werner or Swift will take you on.

From what I read here, I'd say your chances are better with small local companies

I agree with lurchgs, try a small local company first.. If companies believe in redemption, then your chances are a little better... Sorry to hear about your past, but don't give up things will look better to those who believe in it..

    Thanks,
Gog gave me the strength to be possitive, and a job w/ an employer
that believes I am a good person he's helping out, w/ the road test thing but
I'm looking for more money than he can give me. I need to get my family back to where we were and doing averything to get there. Thanks to all and God Bless.

Sometimes you gotta take what you can get.I`ve always found that small companies are better anyway, especially with situations like yours.Your past dui`s may not show up on any ones radar.Myself,I would pick out a job I knew i didn`t want and not admit anything over 7years old and see what they come up with. That way you could be fairly sure of what another employer would find.
