This is me stopping the ball from rolling. I sent a message at 0931 this morning. I just got this:

I'll stop posting, seeing as it is my fault for stopping the ball.

Well made it to a pilot about 15 miles from my drop in ohio tomorrow morning with no issues. While at the yard this am i heard that hp was apparently way behind on their work and loads were late
I guess i got lucky and mine was.

Ill remember to check the yard first always before going down the road. This one didnt have trailer number till i went to window to see if they even knew the status of it

The local drivers do not always update like they are supposed to. So, logically, if you are at the yard and picking up hill, or sabra, or pretty much anything locally, save yourself time by taking the time to drive the yard. Takes all of 5 minutes and just may save you a headache. Granted, it may not be there, but I doesn't hurt to look since you are already there anyway.

The qc is only as good as the people in the office, and we've already established the fact that communication is an issue that needs to be worked on. So, to say read the load instructions and execute sometimes is not true. I've had the addresses wrong, the times wrong, etc.

And, @KD5AXG no matter how you look at it, they are not going to plan you until you deliver. Especially since today is Sunday. Planners aren't even there really today. It's the length of time after you deliver before you get a load that should be addressed. Sometimes it is because they have a ton of folks in that planners area, or it's Monday morning after not being there for 1 or 2 days. Regardless, you do need to have that face to face and if you don't get the answers you need, go up the chain, nicely. Have your questions ready and make sure they understand what it is you want to do. I know your pain. Been in your situation. Heck, still am sometimes. Again, remember that communication isn't what it needs to be from the office so you have to overcompensate. I finally took JBs advice on that and things have improved, if only slightly. I have a lot of family issues at this moment and they seem to flare up at the most inopportune times.

    Once again, going negative.
We can't help you with that aspect.

And actually, if you sent in a QC message about getting your next load, that IS keeping the ball rolling. Good job!!!

Now, 24 hours before the drop might be a bit soon, we are talking about Abilene here right? LOL ...You were starting the process of communicating with the office to get your truck bumped up.

    Don't stop now!!!

Drop a QC message again in the morning after you drop.

    Keep it rolling dude!!!

Cool, hope you enjoy running regional. You will see some similarities with some of the stuff you dealt with with the county. I can say the days I'm behind the wheel is a lot less stress than days at station. Plus some experience til I can retire from the county is a great thing.

U have had alot folks trying to help U, offering suggestions and advice

Probably a good idea to go that route rather than isolating yourself from the folks that are trying to help U with caring advice

At this point negativity and crawling into Ur shell will probably serve no useful purpose

Get back to Richmond and have a face to face with facts, times and dates and see what becomes of it and for Gods sake and Urs don't stop posting, these folks are only trying to help Ya

Headed back out to the truck tomorrow morning. I don't know what I'll get yet, but I'd bet on some Gatorade. Be safe all.
