No shop inside those. Just #### tons of transformers, gearcases and electric motors. I'll upload a few photos from my shovel rebuilding days when I get home.

They've made some progress. I was out doing a wheel seal on that zoom boom in the picture a couple weeks back. They just had the boom laying on the ground and part of the superstructure up.

First up was a 824 going back to the dealer for repairs. Then off to CAT to pickup the 972 and bring it back. I think there was 12 miles between drop off and pickup and maybe 6 and the local end. Went into the JD shop and said I have an 824 for them. The guy responded with a straight face, "This is the CAT dealer". I got him right back without hesitating I said, "Well then, where the hell is the 972 I am supposed to pick up?"

Ok well I delivered the beam today that I picked up on Wednesday. Just thought I would get a shot of the area near the delivery. The job site is on a little road to the left just ahead of my truck. Had to wait on the road for them to figure out which beam was the upstream one. They asked me and I told them you have the plans, all I have is a chunk of concrete.

Heard that yesterday afternoon. Komatsu must've felt threatened by Caterpillar's aquisition of Bucyrus a few years ago.

I get back from delivering the beam and was asked to go move a 330 back to the pit. Here it is after dropping the trailer but before unloading.

Ran out of 1/2" chain, dang things are still in the beam trailers. Gotta get 2 more on Monday. Anyhow, I had 6 1/2" direct tie downs and 2 3/8" indirect tie downs. That gave me over 40k in securement not counting the one on the stick and 8 different points of securement.

Anyhow, I have posted photos of different ways that I have secured the equipment and I finally got a close up of what I do on these large excavators where I need a lot more securement. The chain goes under the track and to the webbing of the frame.

More parts for the hitachi ex-8000. Fuel tank, operating cab, and some railings. The fuel tanks sitting at 15'4 high. Barely made it out of the port because of an overpass. Pretty nerve racking having 2 coworkers making there best judgement calls as I crawled under it. Prob had room to fit a peice of paper between the lifting lugs and the overpass.

Bet you're glad they dropped the road down under the 2 rail bridges at Tête Jaune eh? At 15' 4" you'd have probably just scraped under it before.
