Hill Brothers Transportation Good or Bad!!!

To be clear its plus 10 cent perdeim and the only ones i know who sat a lot or ran that short of miles were the ones who #####ed about everything. Most of their load run to chicago area and thats a pretty much 10 hrs from omaha. Just saying my runs and the company drivers i knew were happy with the miles.

 

Short Circuit you are there a month i see and complaining i see why you sat if you cant give a company 90 days to get use to you and you to them why go. Just saying not enough time to be complaining about after only 30 day and im basing on your post that you just went there in Sept. Most companies will test you the first 90 to 120 days just to see what your like.

 

Dude I'm old school, I believe I have a right to complain when they promise you 43 cents per mile and insurance, and neither is true, and only run 1500 a week, if you can live off that fine go a head, hell I made more in the 80s at 17 cents a mile, I can't and won't give no one a chance to go broke and loose what I've worked my life for, and everyone of the old drivers and personal I've talked to has said the same thing, 10yrs ago yea was a good company, not now so yea I left, if you can't run 3000 miles a week you can't a living, I've got 30 yrs under my belt, and I know how to truck, so be what it may, work like a dog for pennies ,I make my dollars, I live happily ever after,

 

Im sorry but old school dont mean a thing with the large companies I did really good with Hill till dad got sick and had to come home but I found a local guy that i run with thats still old school thinking, us old guys need the small guys with paper logs. My husband and myself went for orientation today needless to say we are on our way home. Before you go here please be aware that if you are a diabetic have your a1c test and an eye exam proof with you. If you are even close on your bmi or neck circumference be prepared to do a sleep study test. The dr they send you to has his own sleep study facility and you will have to do one..... Although he will work out a payment plan with you. Also if you choose not to stay they will not get you back home that's on you. They didn't seem like a bad company but I just wanted ppl to be informed because none of this is explained until you walk in for orientation

 

Wow when I was at hill in the 90s sleep apnea wasn't a problem cause ya never got any sleep lol

 

Wonder when they started the sleep study thing.

 

Here come the insurance companies dictating hiring criteria.

 

Of course cause two yrs ago Hill Bros didn't have sleep adnea testing.

 

Insurance companies have been doing that for years.
