My DOT Foods experience so far. I applied to dot online. I received a call from recruiting who conducted a phone interview. I was then offered a face to face interview. An appointment was scheduled for 3 interviews and a road driving test, math aptitude test, fmsca test to be done in a 5-6 hour time frame. I received a tour of part of their warehouse dry storage, the facility is massive. Everyone I was introduced to or encountered on my travels through the facility was so personable, friendly, and smiling. Dot foods definitely has family values and customer service as golden rules in place, they are bench mark standards that the company is guided by. I believe all three interviews went very well. The road test went well also, the fleet consists primarily of Volvo automatics. Hoping and praying for a call with a job offer and to complete the hiring and training phase. My first in person contact with dot employees in Mt. Sterling was awesome, everyone was professional, courteous, friendly. I just can't wait to start a new chapter in my life ad a Dot Foods customer delivery specialist! I'll keep this thread updated as events happen throughout the hiring process.

Every DOT Foods guy I've spoken with (maybe 3 or 4) seems to be fairly satisfied with their job. It's my understanding that they do some physical labor, but are compensated very well for doing it. Good luck!

Thank you Puppage and Pintlehook for the encouragement. They've a thorough and selective hiring process I've been told. I'm just hoping and praying for a job offer, dot is my #1 choice on my short list of companies I'm considering.

Kinda refreshing that they don't just hire any homeless loser looking for free rent in their truck.

I received a call inviting me in for a physical and agility test. Received a conditional job offer pending the results of the physical & agility test. Passed the physical and the agility test. I start orientation on Monday. Anyone applying to DOT the hiring process is very thorough. The agility test is the hardest test I've ever taken by any employer I've ever had. Some time at the gym before testing would be time well spent. Can't wait to start orientation. Here is to NEW BEGINNINGS!

First day of orientation done, nine more days to go in the class room. DOT FOODS is a great place to work, the people are friendly and courteous. A welcome relief to my previous work atmosphere, unlike any job or company I've ever worked for in the past. A lot of paperwork done today. Met some managers and dispatcher today. This is going to be an awesome second career choice! I'll try to update this thread as the days progress. Enjoy the journey!
