2 mph X let's say just half a day = 10 miles. X 7 days. That's 35 dollars for me per week. X 4.3 weeks... I don't know about you, but for roughly 160 bucks, that's my cell phone bill and a 12 pack of good beer.

Yes, it does add up, if you have the miles to run, which I do.

I'm not out here just for the joy of it. I love what I do, but seeing that awesome settlement is part of the joy.

Donating $160+ for that lousy 2 mph for no reason does not make sense to me.

Keeping it at 64 whenever safely possible allows me to average 60 mph over the day (driving time), on average. I usually make about 10 hours, 30 minutes a day, which pretty consistently gives me about 630 miles per day. Making that into 595 MATTERS. It's not attitude, it's math.

At the end of the day, it's ALSO courtesy. Both to other truckers and to the 4 wheelers.

Don't hold up traffic. That's kinda my 2nd commandment after being safe.

Jiminy! Just follow the golden rule and everyone will be happier.

That $160 you're so proud of is about 1.5 hrs for me IF I can hustle...so stay the #### out of the way in your quest for chump change.

Yes but consider a fatality crash would cost you your entire life's worth.

Hell, I've probably got more loose change lost under my sofa cushion than these clowns are hoping to gain with their 1/2 mph passes...

please explain to me how a slow pass results in a fatality crash in which I am at any way at fault.

Well sitting next to a truck for 5 miles trying to pass them certainly lots of things can happen.

It's common sense if you have a governed truck to keep it a couple miles under that speed so you are able to pass when needed.

That $169 is real money to me. it costs you a whopping NOTHING to slow your speed for 2 minutes.

And if $160 is "nothing" to you, you must be doing something amazing. Share with us please.

My 1 mph-2 MPH pass time is dictated by the driver I'm passing. I have ZERO control over it.

When a 65-66 MPH driver is passing ME, I put on the brakes and let him go ahead, because 30-45 seconds has zero impact on miles per day.

So no, don't be ticked off at ME because the jackwad I'm passing won't put his foot on the break for 30 seconds. You're getting mad at a the wrong person.

Your 2mph argument is ridiculous and also has no impact on your day.

If you're only 1-2mphs faster, if you don't make sure you have many many miles without holding someone else up, you're a POS.

And i used to empty my piss bottle on your windshield if you held me up like that being an inconsiderate driver.

Worse is when the passing driver also can't even do the speed limit, now you have a 2 lane rolling roadblock because of inconsiderate unprofessional drivers.
