What companies honestly care about a drivers? Not to many. If any. The higher ups are concerned with their pockets not any of ours

 

You're making a mountain out of a mole hill.

The problem has already been remedied - get a gallon or two of DEF at every fill up (hell, every other, DEF doesn't burn that quickly).

So you have to push a few extra buttons and haul that hose out of its housing...

It's either that or you go to the terminal.

Pick your poison.
And you're not getting a bonus.... that's just outrageous to expect, or even think it's possible.

 

The person you got the bulk price from also gave a pump price . Showing a savings of .72 a gal . Times 15 comes to 10.80 . But as pointed out earlier , keeping that tank full , means less breakdowns and you moving. Or just demand they pay you 40$ a hour to fuel, should only take a quarter hour?

 

I put in just 5 gallons every 200 hundred gallons of fuel. That's about twice a week, 10 gallons a week. Don't see a problem here.

 

What driver allows their DEF to get down to 1/4 or less? Just put in 5 gallons every other diesel stop it will always be either full or 3/4. If it was down to 1/4 you could still put in 5 gallons every day with fuel, making sure you only fuel about 65-85 gallons of diesel to force them to opt you for daily fuel. Don't just top off the diesel tanks if you are 1/4 DEF, get about 75 gallons today along with 5 gallons of DEF then tomorrow do the same and get 5 more DEF.

 

As you said when it gets too low it can cause problems especially when sloshing around and the sensor believes the tank is critical low.

Aside from that I'd only want to put in 5 gallons at a time and keep it near full for purity issues. So when it gets down to 3/4 I know it is time to put in just 5 gallons next diesel stop. Once I do that I know I have introduced 5 gallons of pure fresh DEF to the system to help mix in with the older DEF. Then in a couple days it will be back to 3/4 again and 5 more fresh clean pure DEF going back in.
