I got a 2000 Peter I love the thing can't see me parting with it... If I do it's a Glider all the way... If I had to get(forced) emission will be 2011+ Cummins...I got one in my Volvo.... Very reliable...

I was 30 miles away from the delivery, everybody was waiting for me. My turbo clamp broke. I called a service, guy comes over, realizing that he does not have a correct clamp. I just told him to put a regular one on, put duct tape over it and I made it to the delivery like that. I wonder if newer truck's ECM would let me run like that

    2003 Peterbilt 379. Bought new . 6nz Cat.
    Built in '02.
I traded when I did to avoid new emmisions krap.
    It's been very dependable.
It's been parked for four years. Might be putting it back
    on the road soon.
1.1 million miles. Never been on a wrecker.
I called road service once because some airlines were damaged by road debris and I didn't carry any parts for that. I am avoiding emmisions equipped trucks for possibly the rest of my days driving.
It needs some new paint on the roof and frame and new tires . A pair of new seats might be nice.

    bayoustate Thanks this.

Really don't think they will pass this eld talk. They'll keep pushing it back a year. A lot of guys for one can't afford it. Alot of older guys don't know how to use smartphones or laptops let alone electronic logs (no offense). That means they will find some local outfit or a factory job. Taxes from these guys won't be taken to the government's pocket since they aren't running anymore so that's another reason I think it's a bunch of hog wash
Unless swift, cr England and the likes fork over alotttt of money to take out the smaller guys than I don't think it'll pass.

I have a 99 Pete with over 2 million on it and also have 2 2015 glider kits. I am avoiding the emissions for as long as I can.

They already have forked over a lot of money. That's how we wound up with the ATA.

My Father is still running his 1994 with a N-14 435hp 9 speed. He has told us to bury him in it when he dies.
