It's that time of year again, so break out your chains and make sure you're ready for Old Man Winter.

I like chain season. When the chain laws kick in, all sorts of freight opens up as the fair weather runners head home or south. Make my best money in the winter months on the long, upper tier east-west runs that all of the sudden, nobody wants.

I've always wondered why some trucks have the bungee cords on the chains like that.

I always like to remember how my first company tried to get us to buy chains ourselves. We said no way Jose. We said you want chains on your truck you gonna buy em. And they did,not once but twice !

And we weren't stuck with a set of chains in Louisiana or Texas lol
