Happy birthday. Send me a PM once you're there, I'm not 100% certain I won't be on the road a week from now, but I'd love to meet a fellow trainee/forum member.

I'm not 100% certain if they still do this but I know a few companies do. I personally don't mind riding the Greyhound since it's only a couple of hours' drive for me, but it's worth looking into if you don't live close to Missouri and you're far enough out from your start date that you can book a cheaper airfare.

Your recruiter will give you the info on who to call to pick you up from the airport.

I was just told no. They will buy a bus ticket, but if you elect not to use it you are on your own ... there is no credit or reimbursement of what the bus ticket would have cost. :(

Wow, that sucks! It must have been a recent change then because I've heard of new drivers doing that not to long ago. Sorry we all got your hopes up. But just think of all the new friends you'll make on the bus ;)

DRIVER refused reimbursement for the cost of a bus ride when supplying their own transportation. Im surprised they flat out said, NO!

Most companies usually accommodates drivers who bring their own, rent or fly.

    :dontknow:
