Mark, finally got around to downloading update- had already rec'd fix but I was waiting for good opportunity to download massive file, I can't afford to "blow" any more data and many wifi spots are too slow. Anyway, download was good but install FAILED. Argh. Good news is that file is still "there" on card on RM. All 4GB of it on the file you had me create called "NaviMaps". But the stupid dock doesn't seem to know that. What now?
***actually just did 2 more small updates (?!) and dock says RM is up to date. But device still constantly re-boots and never gets past yellow Pete screen- which was original problem.

Mine is fairly loud. You can download a DB meter for your phone. Download that and tell me your DB level. I will do a few here and give you an average.

    Thanks,

DB level out what you are hearing can vary depending on what kind of area you are testing in. Perfect would be a quite room. I can check at about a 4' distance in my office which is pretty quite.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I posted I would be gone from 24-28 of Aug. I do both Mats/Gats and hotels have limited Wi-Fi.

I only have half hearing in one ear (due to listening to a 800/1000 hz tone for 20 years) and static.. The speakers have not been toned down. I find them loud even with my ears. The Tablet does have a smaller speaker and the output is quite low, but you can connect a BT speaker to it.

As mentioned you can download apps - Keuwlsoft SPL meter works. Of course I cannot test in a class 8 truck but I can reach out to my testers to see what they see.

You can take zip ties and slide between the DC Plug and the DC socket to help retain the DC Plug from sliding out.

Download the app and at 4' see what level you have.

On a side note,,, running in a loud truck tends to run your hearing down like listening to loud music constantly. You might want to see about a hearing test to see if your hearing is decreasing from the truck noise. We all tend to forget about our ears till it is too late.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Bug report:

If I type in an address to add a via, and then I go to map & adjust the pointer to a specific location (e.g. to the truck entrance of a facility) then I click "add as via" -- it won't add as a via and I get a ghost image on top of the screen. I can get rid of the ghost image by going to the main menu and back to the map, but the via destination is gone...
