The "new" Watkins/Sheppard ? Does that mean new management or ownership ? Or new pay rate etc?

Schneider is running never ending adds for Watkins German Shepard drivers. My hypothesis is this is because the old WS drivers are leaving en masse, or Schneider thinks they are going to.
I think JBH was the best I was ever treated as far as mega carriers goes.
When I sold my truck to take care of my dad, JBH called me with a local gig, but dad needed 24/7 care so I had to decline. That was in early March. There has not been one opening for an intermodal or local driver with them in my area since. And even nationwide I'd put the number at about a dozen in that time frame.
I'm driving local for Schneider right now. Their QC system is the worst you will ever experience. I would never in a million years consider doing OTR with them.
The local I do isn't bad, just doesn't pay a whole lot. JBH local & intermodal is significantly more.
I always thought JBH had hands down the best terminals as well. They have 2 or 3 guys check your trailer thoroughly when you go through one. They don't have near the trailer problems most big carriers do, cause the drivers are held accountable, at least that's how it was when I was there. The terminals are clean, showers are clean, free laundry, and they have cars you can take for an hour or two into town to get stuff done, no charge.
Multiple times I rolled right into a full bar-b-q at the terminals given by the company.
If I ever went company OTR again, that is who I would go with. -

What r there trucks like? Manual or do u know if they if following the automatic shiza going on lol I have no experience but I have heard some company's r going as far as taking away the manual option for mountains (over riding the systems and what noy) I feel very uncomfortable about that. Apu? inverters? Allowed to idle? I hear thats a definite plus in way of otr comfort levels lol
