I am in the process of it now, it should be basically the same in every state. Here is the link for Georgia http://www.georgia.org/competitive-advantages/workforce-division/resources/wioa-resources-job-seekers/

I had to go to an orientation center, fill out a few forms, show them my drivers license, birth certificate and social security card. They asked about my income, I am unemployed so that was easy, and asked what field I was in, as well as my education. I am now waiting for a basic skills test for math, and reading. Once I have completed that, they look at my test scores and determine if I scored well enough. If I scored well enough I apply for funding and tell them which training provider I want to use.
Once I complete the course, I have to report when I am employed, and how much I am making on a quarterly basis to the WIOA Office.

    I am hoping.

I am not sure what the amounts are, you probably need to call.

@DC843 went through this, maybe he will chime in.

Now that I think about it you probably qualify. I get $450 a week for unemployment, and $9 x 50 hours = $450. I would think you qualify if I do. I also had to declare my ex-employer still pays for my medical insurance until February 2017, and I believe that is valued at approx. $800 a month between medical, dental, and vision. I also have my mortgage payment and impound account for taxes and insurance paid for by the State for 18 months.

As far as qualifying financially, I was 21 making about 15000 a year working at goodwill (the most criminal organization ever, but thats a different story), but they used my household income as the basis, and my mom makes about 30k a year and my dad about 60k, and i qualified with a household income of about 100k, so you guys should be fine.

From the day i went to the orientation, it was about 5 weeks until i was in class.

The fact that your unemployed is what's key. People unemployed or on Snap get bumped to the top
