Wasn't talking to you. I should've quoted the person I was talking to originally so you wouldn't get your panties in a wad. I fixed it now.

How does FSC work when it's 100% FSC reimbursement?

Is like spend 500.00 for fuel and get all of it back in ur next check?

No. That's not even what FSC is. FSC is an extra charge SNI charges the customer above the rate. They CLAIM they give us ICs 100% of the FSC they collect from the customer. You still pay for fuel

I don't care how you run your business, you seem a little touchy
Lease payment that never end or having a truck and trailer that are paid for is your decision. Don't start about the tax advantages of leasing, I'll pay taxes on the 30k I don't pay in lease payments and have a extra 21k leftover, better than writing off 100% of lease payments and having 0 leftover.

There is some truth to that. It really doesn't make a lot of sense to spend $1 to save 20 cents in taxes. I would rather keep the dollar and pay the 20 cents. At least I will have 80 cents left over.

I don't think anyone here is arguing that having the tax write off is a good reason to lease. If anyone wants to give me $10,000, I'll give them $2,000 back :biggrin_255:. That's basically what your doing with had logic, lol.

Yes there are different business models out here. A big part of this fad of just keep leasing a new truck or piece of equipment every few years is because our society has moved away from long term goals and instant gratification instead of working hard, saving up and buying something you'll own and have no payments on.

If I could do this over I wouldn't do the lease option like I did. Yes, I've been successful and lucky going this route, but I've worked my butt off to do it.

I plan on and am getting everything in order to buy this truck later this winter as soon as the buyout window opens up. By doing so I'll save $28,000! :biggrin_2551: That's the difference between my buyout price at the start of the window and the buyout price at the end of the lease compared to what I would pay in lease payments over that same time period. I want that $28,000 in my pocket. :biggrin_25525:

Anyways, there are different business models, but I think ultimately there is only one that will lead to long term success, and that's one that includes no payments.

Ok so here's my next question.

If a company pays 1.05 + 100% FSC and the "total is 1.48"

Is this 1.05 all miles plus the 1.48 or just the 1.48?

    From company website:
    • Owners earn $1.05 per mile + FSC All miles, empty or loaded!
    • Total rate for ALL miles - $1.48

$1.48 is what it pays currently. That will fluctuate as the fuel surcharge fluctuates.
