In all fairness, the guy told me he had a buddy that got searched the same way.
That guy contacted a lawyer who said to never allow them to search.
It happened again. The guy said no.
The cop got pissed, put him in the car and called for two more cars.
The dog went around the truck and they let the guy go without a search.
    No tickets.

If a policeman/woman or a trooper is not conducting him/herself within what you think is proper procedure, call 911 and tell the dispatcher to send a supervisor to your location. You have rights, no matter what the policeman/woman tell you. They may have the truck torn up before the supervisor arrives, but you then have a witness to what was done and the legality of it.

eh, Liquor must always be secured when its being transported by a Licensed Commercial Driver. (secured means locked up...before resuming your driving shift, all empties must be removed from the cab.). Just be vigilant...think of applications like a numbers game....many will say no, but you will find employment.

In MOST cases officers are generally good people and not out there to jam you up. I do realize at the same time there are some out there that don't need to be.

Isn't a commercial motor vehicle fair game to search by any law enforcement officer? Whenever I searched anything I made sure to put it back like it was.

Any search by LE without legitimate probable cause means a person is presumed guilty unless proven innocent.
    The slipperiest of all slopes.

Precisely my concern with the "pre-emptive frisk" idea that's gaining popularity.

Law enforcement can get into your truck

    1. to measure your sleeper and ensure it conforms to code of federal regulations regarding size of sleeper.

    2. to get in and conduct a brake test or any other safety test they choose.

    3. being as it is a commercial vehicle they might maybe be able to get in and search around without any warrant or pre probable cause, this I am not sure about.
