1099 will be bad deal if IRS comes to audit any company doing 1099's on company drivers. Company drivers don't fall into 1099 category. Just as my dad couldn't hire mechanic to work for him and 1099 him. He'd have to rent/lease part of work area and pay expenses just as lease operator would do (with respective expenses).

 

I know this is an old thread, was it broker freight you moved for them or direct customers?

 

I work for uzbek right now,been here for over 2-mnths.
Strt pay per ml=$0.45,you'll run all over night dlvries.
You dlvr a ld,& you hve anthr ld right away.
No 4 star hotel,rooms suck...
No meals,so bring lots of mney.
To lst 2-weeks.good mney per wk.
Drct dpst,you pay your own taxes,& health insurance.you can idle trk for a/c
Fuel only at (pilot,fly-j,speedway,mr.fuel)
Paperwork mst be in before "monday".
Or you dn't get paid.no 10-hr brks,you sleep whn you can.just hve to keep trk of your hrs too dlvry.they do reimburse,
The equiptmnt is 2015 volvo,no 2016 or higher.well maintained.

So once the Elog mandate goes into affect I'm guessing the money won't be so good?

 

This company runs illegal as hell and keeps you up sometimes 39 hours a pop.Just left them 3 weeks ago.Good luck if you can work with work sleep.
