Who offers the cheapest liability insurance and what are you paying for $1 million/ $100,000?

I had my own authority years ago and OOIDA wanted 8K, but I found Lancer for $6k 1st year, subsequent years were $5k.

Big surprise, now I'm finding 10K first year and 8k subsequent years.

Lancer said they consider me a new entrant regardless of my previous relationship with them so I'll have to pay new entrant rates for first 2 years.

I've only sought out 2 soft quotes. Next day off I'll take more time to investigate. Any better rates out there?

The market has changed since you left. I believe and I have been wrong. I think that's going to be the best your going to be able to get being a new entrant. I hope all goes well for you.

I'm paying $8700 with Progressive and it's my first year. It also really depends on your driving history and the coverage you get for your equipment. I only have liability on my flatbed since it's only worth about 10-15k but I have full coverage on my Columbia, which is listed as worth 25k. If you have newer or more expensive equipment and you want full coverage on everything, it's gonna cost you more.

I also have a squeaky clean record, not a single violation in the past 3 years. I went with Progressive because they were the easiest and I just wanted to get legal and go drive. When my year is up, I'll probably shop around and see if I can get better rates somewhere.

Don't let your current insurance expire before your new policy is in effect. Your authority will be suspended otherwise.

I paid 19k this year for 1 million/100k for an 06 Columbia and 06 3000R Reefer based out of Newark NJ for a new entry. Hopefully I can find something better before I have to renew in March 2017.

I carry 2 million liability, 100,000 cargo, 25,000 unindentify trailer, and put my truck value at 20,000. This costs me $6500.00 a year premium. All coverages through Northland.

Is this your first year? How much coverage do you have on the tractor and trailer? That's almost double my cost.
