LOL cargo, I remember that post. I've only just driven through NH -- I may have to make a detour on the way back...

BTW, I haven't seen this much flannel since the '90s

With Alaska I cheated and took a cruise. Conway has (had?) a few loads each year going from TX to AK though, but I could never get one...

Ok seriously, I have no idea where they gathered their information for the stats in the XPO Logistics Drive Line for October, but it says that drivers are not on hold for more than 6 minutes!!! Everytime we have had to call in we sit on hold for over 40 minutes. All of this because they decided to "integrate" the LTL calls from those drivers with the Truckload division. This is just ridiculous. All they are trying to do is cut back on the staff in the offices and then lie and say they are in the process of hiring more staff. Every weekend we get a message on the qualcom saying " we are short staffed tonight or this weekend" I mean, hell, they will obviously make millions if they have drivers taking loads and bare bones staff in the office. And don't get me started on weekend disbatch! If you call in to say there is construction on your route and your going too be 15 minutes late they completely reschedule your whole appointment for 24 hours or more. So your left sitting under that load because some idiot sitting in an office doesn't pay attention and just change the time. Then you just happen till be passing thru West Memphis, Arkansas and they take your load from you and give you a local load to go pick up and bring back to the yard....wasn't hired to do LTL!!! Just a bit pissed!

49 States... Give that man a cheroot...that there is a throwback

speaking of Throwbacks... today being Thursday and all...

auto car, Brockway, Jimmy, white comma

if you can remember two out of the four you were a child of the seventies...listen to Convoy on the radio, had an 8-track player, Anna CB radio in your 4-wheeler

if you remember all 4, you are so old you probably didn't have history when you went to school

I didn't go by you Pauldo, I went straight down I-55 to pick up a Hazmat load in New Orleans...taking it to Santa Fe Springs California...that's close enough to Irvine that I bet I have some noodles in my future

by the time I deliver this I think I will have driven all but about 200 miles of I-10 on the same trip...that's right it's October I'm on the I-10 fleet again...let's keep it that way until about May 15th
