woke up this morning and go up to get some breakfast, it's all the typical breakfast stuff you get at a hotel, but the eggs are seriously under cooked. it definitely could be better quality

the hotel shuttle brought us up the the Blair logistics yard. in all there were 18, most went to the p&s orientation, 3 over to the mtb/nst side with me. one of the drivers with me is a rehire. so far they seem to be good friendly people.

OK so I just went through their agility test. it's rather easy, consists of blood pressure, resting heart rate, and oxygen saturation levels. you will have to simulate folding and unfolding tarps, lifting and setting tarps from the ground correctly, simulating getting in and our of your truck, and on and off your trailer correctly, the last test is pulling a set of 200lbs weights from shoulder level to your chest on a weight machine, it's too show that you can pull tarps off. after each test they check your heart rate and oxygen levels. these tests are a must passee, if you do not pass they will tell you so, and you'll be sent back to the terminal.

I hear you. Had one small time operator waste a bunch of my time and talked a good game, then when it got down to it the guy disappears. Blessing in disguise I guess.

so yesterday was day one of orientation. it consisted of your typical drug screen and dot physical with a trip to their ergo Dr to take the agility test. that agility test was easy, but if you don't make those movements all the time you will be sore the next morning. the rest of the day consisted of a couple of videos for truckers against trafficking, and learning about their drive cam, and the active breaking system. also filed out all but the insurance paperwork and took the Alabama coil certification.

so far everyone seems really nice and respectful. they got us lunch from chick fil a, and ordered extra for those who want to take some with them or have a larger appetite.

today consisted of 2 things about 30 minutes at the end of the day getting the insurance packet explained. I have to say, for what their package covers, and the cost of that coverage, this package blows away anything I've seen to date. it's bcbs of Alabama, the typical copays, but the gold plan pays 100%after the copay, the bronze plan pays 70%. the gold plan had a $500 individual deductible with a $1500 family max, the bronze plan is a $4000 individual deductible with a $8000 family. the cost pet well differences is only $35.

the first pay off the day was extremely boring. it consisted of going over the entire smith system. 2 hours in the class room, and then 6 out in a passenger van with 5 of us switching out. it really sucked
