Oh I see.
Hardware is a form of warfare in online computer games against another human. If you are refreshing at 120 hertz and the other person only 60, you have already spotted him coming around the corner while he has not literally had the information you are in his presence and are in the process of killing him.
When everyone is refreshing at 120, some buy 144 or higher where possible to be the one that sees you first. It never ends.
I agree with you on a brick, leaf or twig. Snap! He's good as dead.
I rely on raid 5 stacks of very fast vertex 3's 6 working together running a ATTO from 4kb sector all the way through to 256 sector block sizes at a average of around 1600 mb/sec read. way higher than what my net will deliver. Basically be first loaded into a map and MOVING while those with #### equiptment have to pause and wait to load slower from spinner drives. I will be deploying a raid Zero of 10 to 12 vertex 3's on the next motherboard that can fully support them in the SATA tree. OR....
Dump the SSD's entirely and make use of the USB 3.0 standard or faster bus with 512 or one terabyte flash memory sticks. I had one going as a windows cache for years. It seriously sped up the system even though it was only 64 gig in size some years ago.
Seriously half tempted to make one thumb drive a C once they reach a tera in size. Or buy 10 of them, daisy them into a giant C. Im crazy that way.
Japan produced a very good fast 5 tera backup USB drive on sale in Best Buy and I am going to purchase some more of those boxes while the exhcnage rate is more in our favor. One has been in 24/7 service a year or more (About 9000 hours) and it's still going like it's new. Impressive. USB too. I wonder what can be done when you have 4 of them in a array. 16 tera? (Math takes away a certain amount of data on hard drives...)
At the moment my only gaming activity is two, FSX Deluxe pushing a B17 or 29 or a 747-400x. The flights take very long something on the order of almost a full day each. And world of warships, you can find me under x2heavy handle. I run a DD Sims. Planning on a montana BB purchasing. In the past I had trouble with the game's ban system when it came to being set up as a tk'er by someone else on the team. Ive learned to scout alone for the enemy CV. and avoid areas where the enemy team is storming enmasse you don't get to live more than a minute or two reloads when 6 BB's are shooting.

Im a wired man. USB with inline sound card is not too successful. Im getting ready to go back to a dedicated sound card that will amplify output on a range of devices say a pair of head phones all the way to a home system. Then beef it up until I can hear a leaf stepped on 60 feet away. -

TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this. -
Well, @TROOPER to TRUCKER
I looked for ya online whilst home, you were busy with BF1 the two occasions I did see you on board. Figured you were busy.
Started off ok on gow4 then it got worse, went back and forth like that for awhile. the last few times I played it looked like the players changed.
I ended up annoyed, learning to die gracefully wasn't a option when constantly ambushed by 3 to 5 players or two sneaking up behind yah, how can that happen over and over and over?
ended up playing minecraft with the boy -
